About Emily…

Emily Pareti is a 33-year-old Jersey girl, proud mom of two and wife to her high school sweetheart. Her love for movement, health, and wellness has been a constant throughout her life. Emily grew up dancing competitively and trained extensively in acro, tumbling, gymnastics, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and ballet. She went on to teach acro for 10 years at her former dance studio—and is thrilled to return and teach again in the summer of 2025.

Emily earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Rutgers University, where she also danced on the Rutgers University Dance Team. During her four years on the team, she competed at UDA Nationals in jazz, pom, and hip hop, and in her senior year (2014), she also competed with the co-ed cheer team.

From 2014 to 2018, Emily lived in Makaha, Hawaii, where she was first introduced to yoga at Kahumana Farm in Waianae. Her practice deepened significantly during her second journey with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2017. Yoga became a powerful tool for healing—physically, mentally, and emotionally—teaching her to be present and grateful for life’s smallest moments. She began with Bikram yoga and expanded her practice through various online courses, exploring many styles and approaches.

While in Hawaii, Emily also held a real estate license and coached children’s gymnastics, always staying connected to movement, teaching, and community.

“Yoga begins right where I am. Not where I was yesterday or where I long to be.”

Emily’s Yoga & Movement Jouney

Emily completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 through Honor Yoga in North Brunswick, NJ. She teaches primarily Vinyasa-style classes, encouraging her students to explore movement that feels good in their own bodies. Her classes are thoughtfully challenging, yet accessible for all levels.

Also in 2019, Emily became certified in Aerial Yoga and is now the lead Aerial Instructor at Dhyana Yoga in North Brunswick. She launched and led the studio’s first Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in 2023 and continues to offer this training annually. She deepens her aerial education through ongoing studies at Om Factory in New York City.

Emily’s passion for supporting the pregnant and postpartum body began during her first pregnancy in 2021. Motivated to prepare for a smoother, more intuitive birth experience, she educated herself deeply—and went on to have two unmedicated natural births, each a uniquely powerful journey. With the guidance of a doula both times, Emily discovered just how strong, wise, and capable the female body truly is.

She now shares this knowledge and passion through prenatal and postnatal yoga and fitness classes, currently teaching at Vida Holistic Wellness Center in Morganville, NJ and Create Your Core in South River, NJ. She loves working with mamas and mamas-to-be, helping them move in ways that support, empower, and honor the body during this transformative season of life.

Emily is also a Reiki Level II Practitioner and a global retreat collaborator, co-leading retreats with fellow teachers, healers, and wellness professionals. Her retreat work has brought her to places like Andros and Mykonos in Greece, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Florida, Catskills, New York and beyond—including training workshops throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Outside of teaching, Emily finds joy in adventure, nature, movement, healthy food, time with friends, creative expression, and meaningful family moments. Her two little ones—Noah (3) and River (1)—are the heart of everything she does.

Movement is medicine.
